The Queyras Park, between wild spaces and freedom
650 km2 of free lands, colorfully rich, sprinkled with many villages, among the most beautiful of the Alps. Here, paths bring their visitors through the larch undergrowth, to finally go higher where sheep give some relief to the pastures green color and to the blue sky. The Queyras walks among Provence, Arctic and Caucasia flowers.
It crosses wild animal prints. In summer it oozes freshly cut hay and sculpted wood. It is thanks to its inhabitants that the Queyras is such a welcoming and working region that fully opens its heart. To remain the guardians of a free life with no ordinariness, they obtained, in 1977, that their land became a Regional Natural Park: a guaranty of sustainable development, for Men and for Nature.
